Our environments are beautiful, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged. Natural lighting, soft colours, and uncluttered spaces set the stage for activity that is focused and calm. Learning materials are displayed on accessible shelves, fostering independence. Everything is where it is supposed to be, which conveys a sense of harmony, order and stability that both comforts and inspires. All our Montessori classrooms have their own outdoor working environments.
A Montessori classroom, also known as a prepared environment, is designed to support children's learning through curiosity, stability, and freedom of choice. Some common features of a Montessori classroom are :
This environment is specially designed for children between the ages of 15 months to 2.5 years. In consultation with Ms. Vibhuti Jain (0-3 years Montessori Trainer, AMI), the toddler environment has low shelves with material that is easy to reach. It is designed to invite a toddler and appeal to their inquisitiveness to explore.
The Primary environment has a wide range of Montessori materials and activities. The material is familiar and child-size and appeals to the child’s desire to work.
Material is beautifully crafted and begging to be touched. Montessori’s distinctive learning materials are displayed on open, easily accessible shelves. They are arranged (left to right, as we read in Western languages) in order of their sequence in the curriculum, from the simplest to the most complex.
